3.3 Million Dollar Value to our Member Organizations
Did you know that our 257 member programs have an annual volunteer
need of almost 60,000! Figuring that each volunteer works 3 hours the
impact has a value, at a minimum, of 3.3 million dollars of
service. Can you imagine accomplishing your mission without
volunteers – how much it would cost you?
The Value of the Volunteer Hour is $22.25
Each year the value of the volunteer hour is determined by the
Independent Sector, a national organization supporting nonprofit.
The value of the volunteer hour is based on the average hourly
earnings of all production and nonsupervisory workers on private
nonfarm payrolls. The Independent Sector takes that figure and
increases it by 12 percent to estimate for fringe benefits. Visit
