18822   AYSO Region 314 (American Youth Soccer Organization) Concessions, soccer field maintenance, special project staff  Location: Harvard   60033 Description: Support the all volunteer staff in the area of concessions, field maintenance, picture day, fundraisers and various other special projects.   When does the volunteer need take place?  Our season is active August through October and again from April through May each year. These times most work will be done on Saturdays. Other days and times are available for special projects which happen routinely each year.    Ongoing? 19257   Community Action Agency for Mc Henry County Cook's Assistant  Location: Harvard   60033 Description: To assist the Harvard Head Start Cook with preparation, delivery and clean-up of meals and snack for 3-5 year old low income children who attend the center for preschool.   When does the volunteer need take place?  Starting September 7, 2010. Daytime hours. This could be a volunteer position for more than 1 person. It would start at @ 7:30 am, until 2:30 pm. I am only looking for dependable people who want to make a differance in the lives of others. 18256   Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, Inc. mentors needed  Location: Harvard   60033 Description: Big brothers are needed to provide one to one friendship, guidance and social activities to a boy between the ages of 6 and 14 residing in McHenry County.   When does the volunteer need take place?  You meet with your Little Brother between 2 and 4 times per month when it is convenient for you and your Little which is usually on weekends, late afternoon or evenings.
