We are looking for retired, current, or job-seeking business professionals who would be willing to set up appointments with our WIA-eligible customers to conduct one-on-one mock interviews, resume critiques, and basic computer skill assistance. Additionally, for one or more of the following group activities: Facilitation of a networking group, facilitation of a computer basics workshop, a presentation of one aspect of the job search process (sharing their expertise), and/or a presentation of any topic - based on their personal knowledge - that directly impacts the job search process. We are looking for Promise scholarship students who would be willing to set up appointments with our WIA-eligible customers to conduct one-on-one consultations regarding social networking (i.e. helping them get set up – in a professional job search capacity- on LinkedIn and Facebook) and for possible one-on-one basic computer skills sessions. Additionally, we are seeking individual whos would be willing to facilitate a 2 to 3 hour Computer Basics Workshop once or twice monthly.
When
does the volunteer need take place?
Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis for the one-on-one customer meetings and for presentations. Therefore, many volunteers are welcome so they can rotate, or so that some can fill in when others discontinue.
